What this covers

This policy is about mapier.dev — the research writing and the demos on it, and nothing else. It is published by Mapier Labs Inc.

Mapier, the messaging product, is a different thing with different obligations: it handles message content on behalf of the companies that build on it, and it has its own privacy policy at https://mapier.ai/privacy. If you are here about that, read that one.

What we collect

Nothing. This site has no accounts, no sign-in, no forms and no comments, so there is nothing for you to submit and nothing for us to store.

It sets no cookies and runs no analytics. There is no tracking pixel, no session recording and no advertising network on it, which is why there is no consent banner to dismiss — we are not measuring you, so there is nothing to ask permission for.

What the server sees

Visiting any website tells the server something, and this one is no exception. Our hosting provider records the ordinary request data — the IP address a request came from, the page asked for, the browser's user-agent string and the time — as part of serving and protecting the site.

We do not build profiles from that, join it to anything else, or use it to work out who you are. It is operational data held by the host on a short rolling window, and the only things we do with it are keep the site up and understand it when it breaks.

No third parties on the page

Everything this page loads comes from this site. The three typefaces are self-hosted rather than pulled from a font CDN, the artwork is served from here, and there is no embedded video, map, chat widget or social button.

That is a deliberate property rather than an accident of scale: an embed is a request your browser makes to someone else, carrying your IP address and referrer to a party you did not choose to visit. There are none here, so reading this site tells nobody but us that you did.

Your rights

Where the law gives you rights over personal data — to see it, correct it, delete it, or object to how it is handled — they apply to us. In practice there is very little to exercise them against, because the section above is the whole of what exists.

Ask anyway if you want to: hello@mapier.ai. If you would rather complain to a regulator than to us, you are entitled to, and we would still like to hear about it.

Changes to this policy

When this changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. If this site ever starts collecting something — an analytics tag, a newsletter form, anything — this page says so before it does, not after.
