Terms of use

Last updated: Draft

This is a pre-launch draft, published so you can see where we stand while we finalise it with counsel. If you need something more formal, email hello@mapier.ai.

What these cover

These are terms of USE, for reading mapier.dev. They are not a service agreement, because this site is not a service: there is nothing to sign up for and nothing to buy.

The Mapier messaging product has real terms of service, and they are the ones that govern building on it. They live at https://mapier.ai/terms.

The research, and what you can do with it

The writing, figures and demos here are ours. You are welcome to read them, quote them and link to them — quoting with attribution and a link back is exactly what we published them for, and you do not need to ask.

Republishing a piece wholesale, or using it to train a model, is a different thing and needs permission. Ask at hello@mapier.ai; the answer is usually yes.

This is research, and research moves

What is published here describes work in progress. Numbers get revised, conclusions get narrowed, and entries marked in progress claim no results at all — the page exists so the URL is stable, not because there is a finding behind it yet.

So take it as a report of what we currently believe rather than a specification. It is provided as is, without warranty, and nothing on this site is advice you should act on without checking it yourself.

Using the site

Read it, share it, automate against it politely. What we ask is that you do not try to break it, work around whatever protects it, or hammer it hard enough to spoil it for anyone else.

Changes to these terms

We may update these. The date at the top changes when we do, and continuing to use the site after that means the new version applies.

Governing law

California law governs, and the courts of San Francisco County have venue. Nothing here waives a jury or bars a class action.

Contact

Questions about these terms go to hello@mapier.ai.
