The idea
A friend you text, not an app you open.
Mapi lives in iMessage. There is nothing to download: you text it what you're into, and it finds people nearby who are down for the same thing.
How it works
It turns a match into a plan.
When enough people want the same sidequest, Mapi proposes it, starts the group chat and gets everyone in the same place. The conversation is the whole interface.
What we're learning
Restraint is the feature.
An agent in your messages has to earn every text it sends. Most of the work is deciding when not to.
